The Top 25 and Caffe Takes the #1 Position!

Well Helloooo Darling!  Have you heard?  The FABulous news of course!  The polls were closed yesterday... pheeeew!... 3 long weeks of voting for the Top 25 SoCal Mom Blogs Contest, and with your help my Dear...  Caffeinated OC Mommy took the #1 spot out of 67 blogs!  YIPPEE!!

So guess what that means??  I'm going on a lipstick shopping spree to celebrate this fun little victory!  But you knew that... I am a lipstick fiend after all and any excuse to buy a new tube of color for my pretty little pucker... pinks, berry, red, mauves, shimmers, gloss, stains... I’m so happy that you’re here!  You told me to be here Caffe, I picked a number, do I win?  OH, YES... that’s right!  The lipstick giveaway!  Oooh how fun and let me tell ya the number I picked.... well, let me tell you the story of picking the number so you’ll know why I changed the rules, I mean... not changing the rules, but sort of...

Shhhhhh... It's a Secret!

Hello Darling... I’m absolutely delighted that you are here!  Come make yourself comfy and let me fill your cup with a fresh brew of, ‘Shhhhhh... Can you keep a secret?’...

I’ve been contemplating how to go about saying what I’m about to say.  Yes, I know Darling, when have I ever worried about what I was going to say!  But, well... this is one of those things that I’ve been avoiding and the guilt with holding it in just seems to make the powder on my nose crust up!  Come on Caffe, it can’t be that bad, spit it out already!

Well Darling, it’s been a secret for so long, but... okay... ((deep breath)) here I go... I have been so fortunate in receiving blog awards since the beginning of  this endearing adventure I call, Caffeinated OC Mommy.  I am so flattered and so very appreciative of each and every award that I have received... I have given my all... truly... to do the best I can in receiving these awards, following the rules and in turn... giving them out to my Darling Friends within the BloggySphere.  

But I must confess... I haven’t done my part on many of the awards I’ve received, and I don’t think I ever will.  Yes, I’m pretty sure I’m throwing in the towel when it comes to receiving awards from my FABulous Friends, and yes, I know you gave me an award at some point, I didn’t forget, I just... well... forgive me?  Hate me if you must... you’ll still be my Darling Friend, no matter what... 

So with that being said... I would like to thank you and the many Darlings and Dears who thought of little ol meeee when an award was and is up for grabs... even if I don’t swing by to collect my award, you know I’ll always celebrate by purchasing a new lipstick... I can’t help myself!   xoxo

No More Awards... Lipstick Please!

Well Hellooooo my Darling Friend... I absolutely adore when you stop by for a visit!  Come on in, and let me fill your cup with a fresh blend of, ‘More awards Caffe?’

Oh Darling... With each award I receive, I keep hinting to everyone that I’d much prefer a new tube of lipstick instead... it hasn’t happened yet.  lol!  Awards are quite an achievement in the BlogSphere and I feel so honored when another blogger recognizes how absolutely fabulous I am!  

The Tell Me About Yourself Award, has been presented to me from my Dear Friend Melissa over at, Glimpses of the Good Life.  I think she does more than take a glimpse, as she takes beautiful pictures to treasure those brief moments forever.  Beautiful pictures?  I know of a beautiful picture... the lipstick aisle in Target!  Oh Caffe, your going on a lipstick tangent again!  OH, Ooopsie!  Okay, where was I?

RULES!!

Oh, that’s right Darling, rules... Now, there are rules about accepting these awards and I must apologize in advanced as I never seem to be able to follow them! 

Here are the “official” rules...

1. I must tell 7 things about myself

I’ve been very naughty with my past awards and quite stingy with passing it on... so Darling, without further ado, I’ll tell you a few tidbits about myself and pass this award on so others will know that they’re appreciated too...

1. I was a flight attendant before I was married.  That must be where I got my lipstick obsession from as after each meal, they would march us to the restrooms to reapply lipstick!  Can you believe that Darling?  Lipstick was part of our training! 
2. I am the cause of, hmmm... about 7 barroom brawls.  I didn’t do it on purpose my Dear... I promise!  I couldn’t help it if the boyz were behaving like boyz!
3. I have been in a mosh pit at a Penny Wise concert... what was I thinking?!
4. I chipped my front right tooth surfing on waves waaay to big for me in Waikiki using my Dad’s battleship of a surfboard... another bright idea from a very confident Caffe that surfed... mmmm... once!
5. One snowy season, I rescued a handful of lost beginning skiers that were on the black diamond trail and couldn’t find a safe way down the mountain where I taught kids how to ski.  Yes Darling, I was a ski instructor and a very cute one at that!
6. I’ve been swaying my hips back and forth once a week for the past 5 years doing hula.  I just adore dancing to the rhythm of music that reminds me of the islands!  My imagination always takes me to a sunny place in the sand, sipping a mai tai... ahhhhhhh...
7. And my 7th tidbit... I knew from the first time I looked into my Hubby’s bright, blue eyes, he was the love of my life... then I made him marry me right away my stunning beauty and charming personality captured his heart as well, and he couldn’t wait to marry me!  

So there you have it... a nice blend that I would drink again and again!  OH, I mustn’t forget... 15 fabulous bloggers... In no particular order as they are ALL delicious...

Me?? Again?? I'm SOoo Fabulous!

Hello my Dear Friend... Come on in and let me pour you a nice cup of, ‘It’s good to be me and I’m so very thankful.’

Oh my goodness, I can’t even begin to tell you how extremely busy this past week has been!  From the final week of the Top 25 contest that ended on Thursday, the big social event on Friday night that I needed to be extra MILFy on my Hubby’s arm, a dual Swiffer birthday party Saturday night and family visiting from out of town.... PHEW... I need to get to the spa!  

Just when I thought I would be able to catch my breath...wham!... I get awarded the Versatile Blogger Award, not once, but twice within a 24 hour period!  I am completely honored that more and more of my fellow bloggers recognize how truly wonderful I am, but what to do about these awards when I have already received it from my Darling Lindy over at Lindy Legends and Other Such Nonsense?

Blog Awards are an honor and it is something I don’t take lightly... I mean after all, another blogger recognizes my fabulous self and rightly so, they want to honor me.  So with any award I receive I will do what I do best... change the rules!

Because I have already received this award, the new rules are that I am exempt from passing it on and all the rules that go with... EXCEPT giving a thank you to those who have passed it on to me.  So if you get the chance, please visit these Dear Mommys who obviously have excellent taste when it comes to choosing... Moi!

Caffeinated OC Mommy is Coolest of the Cool!

Hello my Dear Friend... Happy to have you here! Let me fill your cup while you come and sit down as I’ve got some exciting news to share... Shameless Flaunting & the Bloggers Who LOVE Me!

Hello my dear Friend. Happy to see you again! Come on in and let me fill your cup...

I need to get this out in the open as I have been a very naughty girl! This past week I’ve been awarded the Stylish Blogger Award! How wonderful and I absolutely deserve it and Char over at The Epic Adventures of a Modern Mom thinks so too as she is the Stylish Blogger who recognizes my savvy style and my oh so clever ways with lipstick. Then a few days later, The Versatile Blogger Award came my way and Lindy over at Lindy Legends and Other Such Nonsense thinks I’m absolutely AWESOME, of course she does as Lindy and I are like minded!

Now for my naughty girl confession... I didn’t follow any of the rules that come along with accepting these awards. They’re my awards and I can do whatever I want with them, rules shmules! Then the devil and angel on my shoulder started arguing and the next thing you know, the angel swept the devil’s leg and put the sucker into a headlock! A few minutes later, my conscience is bothering me and now I’m ‘fessing up. Why, oh why must I be so perfect in every way? My goodness, I’m feeling a bit frazzled and I need to touch up my makeup!

The traditions of these awards are very similar. I’m supposed to tell you 7 things about myself that you didn’t know and then I’m supposed to link who gave it to me and then pass the award on to 7, 10, or 15 (depending on whose rules you’re looking at) blogs that I think is most fab and let them know. Then you’re supposed to check out my discoveries and hopefully make a new friend. PHEW!!!! This receiving an award business is hard work, I’d much prefer that my next award be a nice shade of mauve for my lips!

4. I love watching the birds playing in the fountain in my backyard

6. I live in South Orange County on the beachside of the 5 freeway, yes, it makes a difference, and nowhere near Coto De Caza (Coto is inland out in the boonies not at all close to the beach) where those supposed TV Housewives live.
7. I am a homeschool Mommy

Okay, not so bad, my lipstick is still on... now I need to decide on some blogs, OH MY, I’ve got 2 awards to give away!!! How am I going to this? Of course I can do this, I’ll do it my way as I am quite capable and not easily deterred.
